The Green Mile

I’ve been watching The Green Mile on TV. It’s a powerful story with excellent character development. I loved the book, and the movie doesn’t disappoint either. Stephen King sure can spin a tale. It’s one of my favorite movies. Another favorite is Shawshank Redemption, which was also written by him. Tom Hanks does an excellent … [Read more…]

The Lovely Bones

The Lovely Bones was on HBO this evening. It’s got a catchy title and I guess it’s supposed to be deep. One word comes to mind: “weak”.

Will they steal my car stereo? …Oh yes

My GPS (I tell Cami it’s my “water wings”) goes wherever I go. The roads around are so confusing I wouldn’t be without it. The GPS also comes into my motel room every time I leave the car. But, I have been careless about removing the face of my car stereo each night. I started … [Read more…]

Cami is coming…tomorrow!

Cami flies out tomorrow morning from Utah. She should be here in North Carolina by the afternoon, but she is flying stand-by, so it’s really anybody’s guess when she will actually arrive. I’m excited to have her here, although staying in the Motel 6 isn’t the most romantic of situations. We will have to watch … [Read more…]

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Red Box is headed for trouble. They rarely have anything worth renting, even for a buck. A few days ago I got lucky and found one movie that seemed interesting: Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Paula had recommended it a few months ago so I decided to get it. In the first few minutes of … [Read more…]

Just Married!!! …three weeks ago

The morning of October 16th I was married to Cami in the Salt Lake Temple. It was an amazing day. For the middle of October we couldn’t have asked for better weather. Not too hot or too cool. It was perfect for a wedding. The ceremony was beautiful and when we stepped outside, nearly all … [Read more…]
